Forever … Floundering?

As you know, when it comes to self-promotion, I suck.  Big time.  As I’ve mentioned more than once, time just ain’t my friend.  <LOL>

That said, Next Chapter (formerly Creativia) has me scheduled for a promotion (.99 for Forever Poi on Amazon) starting September 5th.  That’s so exciting!

Consequently, I’m keeping this week’s Wednesday post short so I can scramble to learn/do as much as possible … which will be quite comical to see (of this I have no doubt).

Before I dash, I want to extend a huge thank you to Jina S. Bazzar, fellow blogger and author of Heir of Ashes (and other great books).  She’s always so very helpful and supportive. WPFPoi3

Thank you, Jina!  And thank you, Next Chapter!

(I’ll get my act together, of this you can be sure.  It may not be tomorrow, but it will happen.)

Hula-ing to Happiness

The cover of Can You Hula Like Hilo Hattie?, the second Triple Threat Investigation Agency book, has a new cover.  I couldn’t be happier.  Well, okay, if I won the big lottery pot, I’d likely be a bit happier, but I’m still pretty delighted.  Thanks Creativia; you do great work!

It’s in keeping, and as eye-catching, as the others.  Simple yet inviting.

And what do the private eyes think about this one?  JJ’s loves the “bobble” hula dancer (she has one in her Jeep).  Linda, as always, believes the colors, font, and design are outstanding.  And Rey’s swaying with praise, which is delightful, given her initial response when told their “pretty P.I. faces” would no longer be featured (which we won’t repeat here, as it may make some people’s ears curl). WPhula2B

Now I have to commit to that promise of getting things rolling promo-wise (something rather intimidating, if not overwhelming, for this ol’ gal).  Wish me luck.  <LOL>

Foever Poi . . . Forever Happy

The cover for Forever Poi is ready—thank you, Creativia!

The purple and red work well . . . attention-grabbing in its simplicity.

How do the gals feel about this one?  JJ’s likes the lips—they speak to her.  Linda thinks the colors and font are hot.  Rey loves the lipstick (a shade she’d wear in a blink).  As an FYI, the tsking and sighs have ceased; she’s officially over the fact she and her colleagues no longer grace the covers.WPForeverPoi4

When the last cover arrives, that makeover for The Triple Threat Investigation Agency Facebook page (and this blog) are gonna happen.

Speaking of happen, if anyone would like to help make this new book happen, I’d be very grateful . . . thankful, happy, delighted, grateful, overjoyed, stoked, grateful, indebted, and pleased.

. . . Did I say grateful?

Nuts about . . . Coco’s Nuts

Ta-da!  The cover of Coco’s Nuts, my third Triple Threat Investigation Agency book, has received a new cover.  I ask again: how exciting is that?  (Not quite sure what happened to the second, but I’m sure Can You Hula Like Hilo Hattie? is hula-ing down the design trail.)

It’s eye-catching.  Simple yet magnetizing.

How do the gals feel about this one?  JJ’s loves how the coconut resembles a bomb.  Linda’s keen on the colors and font.  Rey’s dancing with delight (though she was initially nettled that she and her colleagues’ “pretty P.I. faces” are no longer being featured).

When the last two covers arrive, that facelift for The Triple Threat Investigation Agency Facebook page (and this blog) are still on the agenda.

New Look . . . New Book?

It’s been a wee bit of a wait—but we all know how very good I am at standing by—and the first cover of my first Triple Threat Investigation Agency books has received a new cover!  How exciting is that?

I’m a little sad to see the gals go, but—per feedback—they truly did have to.  As pretty as they are, they’re too doll-like to be appealing to the potential reader. WPCaper1

And speaking of the gals . . . JJ’s fine with the new cover, though she’d liked to have seen the mansion a bit more “creepy” looking.  Linda loves it; the colors, font/title are strong and have “oomph”.  Rey’s happy as a mussel swimming in saffron-wine broth.

When the three subsequent covers arrive, a face-lift for The Triple Threat Investigation Agency Facebook page (and this blog) won’t be far off . . . and that, my dear friends, is a promise!  So, please—hold me to it!!

Making Choices / Feeling Good

Last weekend I posted about contracting with a publisher.  As with most things in life, I’m always a tad nervous about taking on something new (okay, a lot nervous).  Not sure why.  Just am.  Silly me, I know.

In any event, as posted, I took the plunge and signed on with Creativia.  So far, so good.  In point of fact, pretty gosh-darn good!

After joining the Creativia Facebook team, I received numerous greetings from fellow authors.  It was heartwarming to be welcomed in such a, well, welcoming manner.  <LOL>

Who knows where this [new] publishing road will lead?  All I know is that I’m pleased to be on it.  Perhaps I won’t make much money, if any (I’m a realist), but I’m definitely looking forward to this new adventure and learning all I can along the journey.  WPgoodclipartquery

Yes, having to make choices can be [very] scary—but there’s nothing better than feeling good about actually making them.

Ready to rock’n’roll with Forever Poi

Like, how many months have I been trying to get “Forever Poi” packaged/done?   Seems like many.  But it’s all good now—Creativia, “a community-driven, next-generation hybrid publisher”, has accepted me to their author roster.  There’s a lot to organize and do, but it’s all good.  One task at a time.

The front and back covers you see above will likely not be the ones used by Creativia; they’re ones my long-time designer and formatter created.  They’re much in keeping with the previous covers, though the trio do look a bit different.  Cosmetic surgery perhaps?  <LOL>

In the event you’re looking for a publisher, here are some facts about Creativia (pulled from their site):

♦   Besides their partner network, they use marketing channels: Amazon Marketing Services, Bookbub Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Ads.

♦   They cover: proofreading, cover design, eBook and paperbook layout design, worldwide publishing, marketing, sales and royalty payment.

♦   Achievements include: #1 bestsellers in major Amazon categories, book translations into nine languages, and features in high-profile newsletters.

As a fellow Creativia author advised, it’s all about what you’re willing to put into it.  As an writer, you must invest time and effort/energy.  More simply said: reap and ye shall sow.  Given my due diligence and the feedback I’ve received, I’m happy [and excited] to have signed on.

Yes, I’m feeling good about this new phase of my writing life.  As Rey’d say: keep ya posted! thumbs up
