Us Three, Still Free

It’s Linda posting today to let you know that the adventures of us three solving our first unofficial case is still free!  The Connecticut Corpse Caper shares how my BFF, Rey, and her cousin, JJ, and I track down a crazed killer.

It begins with a week-long stay at Rey and JJ’s eccentric (wacky, if you ask me) Aunt Mat’s haunted mansion.  Several guests must remain there for a full week to collect their portion of the inheritance; if anyone departs early, they forfeit the money and it goes back into the pot.

Not long after arrival, someone passes, and it’s not courtesy of natural causes.  Within a few hours, another guest departs, not the mansion but this earthly plain.  We’re all on edge, which goes without saying, and it’s not because we’re stuck in a creepy haunted mansion with a homicidal maniac on the loose.

The three of us become amateur detectives—Nancy Drews, as JJ’s boyfriend calls us (I’d prefer Sherlock Holmes, but whatever).  Hidden passageways, a resident ghost, weird sounds and happenings keep us on our toes, and—despite the odds, accusations and finger-pointing—we manage to figure out what’s what and who’s who.  Yes, I’m being cryptic, but I’m hoping I’m enticing you to read how the Triple Threat Investigation Agency came to be.

If I’ve succeeded, please check us out at . . .

I'm primarily a writer of fiction and blog posts, and a sometimes editor and proofreader of books, manuals, and film/television scripts. Fact-checking and researching, organizing and coordinating are skills and joys (I enjoy playing detective and developing structure). My fiction audience: lovers of female-sleuth mysteries. My genres of preference: mysteries (needless to say), women’s fiction, informative and helpful “affirmative” non-fiction. So-o, here I am, staring up a new blog for aspiring and established e-Book writers. The plan: to share the (long) journey of getting to this stage, and share "learnings" and "teachings". There's a lot I hope to accomplish with this blog, but it may be a while before that happens as there's a lot on the ol' plate - taking care of Mom, working full-time, and attempting to get another book in the Triple Threat Investigation Agency series written (never mind blog postings and other writing projects). It's very challenging and it's all good. As I like to say: teeny focused baby steps are just as effective as long forceful strides. It may take a little longer, but we will get there.
